I could not be more proud to share exciting news that has been more than a decade in the making. Today, we are launching the next evolution of the SafeBreach platform, which will give large enterprise security teams the power to see into the future and gain unprecedented insight into their cyber risk.
The new SafeBreach exposure validation platform combines our award-winning breach and attack simulation (BAS) product, SafeBreach Validate, with the innovative capabilities of attack path validation via SafeBreach Propagate. With Propagate, we’ve achieved what others in the space simply cannot: a safe, controlled, and agentless enterprise-grade solution that finds gaps in network segregation to propagate to adjacent endpoints in real time.
Unlike other solutions, the SafeBreach exposure validation platform combines our industry-leading Validate capabilities with the incredible new level of insight provided by Propagate, providing the most innovative and holistic views of cyber risk available today. As a result, enterprise security teams will be able to make more informed decisions than ever thought possible about how to prioritize and remediate their most critical exposures.
This journey began over a decade ago, when SafeBreach CTO Itzik Kotler and I set out to address the frustrating reality that security leaders could spend a fortune on security controls, yet still be unable to confidently assess their level of preparedness against specific threats. Since then, we’ve succeeded in providing enterprise-grade proactive security for the largest household brands in the world, including a significant portion of the Fortune 100.
It was the feedback from these enterprise organizations, combined with the shifts we have seen in the cybersecurity space in recent years, that revealed a pressing market need for a complimentary alternative to traditional penetration testing. Our clients shared their frustration with this highly saturated market that has hundreds of vendors, requires a huge portion of their security budget, and only provides minimal ROI. They were eager for a way to combine the more valuable insights of traditional penetration testing with the validation provided by BAS to create a more cost-efficient, holistic, and valuable solution.
Based on our expertise, we knew we could address this need by incorporating one of the most impactful areas of penetration testing into our platform: the ability to detect and mitigate east/west lateral movement within a network. SafeBreach Propagate does just that by simulating attacker movement within an organization’s network to help security teams uncover high-risk attack paths to critical organizational assets and take preemptive action to close them off. This capability is specifically designed to augment the security control validation testing offered by SafeBreach Validate to provide a level of visibility and insight that isn’t available anywhere else.
Combining Validate and Propagate within one platform is the first step in SafeBreach’s next evolution: to develop a comprehensive platform that combines all of the critical security capabilities that mature enterprises need. As we look to the future, we will not only continue to develop our existing capabilities in Validate and Propagate, but will also quickly add adjacent capabilities within the SafeBreach exposure validation platform to empower organizations to implement and maintain a robust, holistic, and cost-efficient security program.
This future version of the SafeBreach exposure validation platform will also help organizations support and implement a complete continuous threat exposure management (CTEM) program. More and more organizations are turning to CTEM—first conceptualized by Gartner—to provide a formal, consolidated, and proactive approach to finding, evaluating, and mitigating threat exposures. However, up to this point, organizations have had to cobble together the necessary tools and processes to address the program’s five phases.
The SafeBreach exposure validation platform will change that, while drawing on our ten-year history to offer:
