Gartner® Report – How to Respond to the 2022 Cyberthreat Landscape
As per Gartner, “Organizations face new threats as they prepare for the future of work and accelerate digital transformations.” It is also stated,” Despite continued investments in cybersecurity, the threat landscape remains challenging, with digital business transformations, hybrid workforces and workplaces, and interconnected digital supply chains expanding the attack surface.”
In this recent report, Gartner provides advice to help security and risk management leaders evolve their enterprise security program to face the challenges of the current threat landscape by:
- “Refocusing internal security communications and improvements to adapt to new attack trends, such as multichannel phishing, attackers demanding a second ransom or disclosing data, or attackers targeting service credentials rather than users.”
- Ensuring executive sponsorship for continued investment in security control improvements by communicating effectively about microtrends for well-known threats.
- Setting up processes inside their security operations organization to evaluate the impact of emerging and high-momentum threats.
- Focusing on cyber resilience and aligning security with organizational leaders to anticipate expansion of the attack surface as a result of business transformation.”
